Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, who I think played well tonight, scored an own goal in the Nigeria vs France match. Some football fans, who felt some type of way about it, took their anger out on his wife, Adaeze Yobo, calling her out on social media.

Instead of ignoring the jibes, Adaeze took to her instagram page to fire back. (what she wrote above)

President Jonathan Deplores Attacks On Churches Near Chibok

President Goodluck Jonathan today condemned Sunday’s Boko Haram attacks on churches in villages near Chibok, Borno State, where hundreds of girls were abducted two and a half months ago.
A statement by spokesman Reuben Abati said Mr. Jonathan deplored the renewed targeting by Boko Haram of adherents of a particular religion, and urged all lovers of peace and unity to wholly condemn the resurgence of efforts by agents of global terrorism to disunite and destabilize Nigeria by callously instigating violence among religious groups in the country.
“President Jonathan shares the view of the most learned Islamic leaders and scholars that no true Muslim will resort to the mindless killing of innocent people at any time, especially not during the holy month of Ramadan, to redress any perceived grievance,” he said.
“The President believes, therefore, that Sunday’s attacks on churches and other similar atrocities by Boko Haram are conclusive proof, if any is still needed, that its leaders and members are thoroughly misguided persons who are only using religion as a cover for their reprehensible crimes against their countrymen and women.”

The host nation earned a meeting with either Colombia or Uruguay after seeing off Chile in a pulsating clash which saw both sides have chances to clinch it.
The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 after extra time, with Alexis Sanchez having cancelled out David Luiz’s opener for Brazil - though whether Luiz should be credited with the goal is a matter of some debate, given that it appeared to be deflected goalward off the shin of Gonzalo Jara.

Super Eagles boycott training on Thursday over unpaid bonuses

The Super Eagles boycotted their training on Thursday over unpaid bonuses .President  Jonathan has now  assured the country's senior players at the World Cup that the squad will be paid their bonus money.

BBC Sport understands Nigeria's players fear they will not be paid after the tournament - a situation that occurred after last year's Confederations Cup.BBC Sport understands the players believe they are each $15,000 (£8,800) short of what they were expecting for reaching the last 16 in Brazil.

While the players have demanded they receive their money now, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is not in a position to make that payment until it receives its prize money from Fifa.It is that impasse that has led President Jonathan to intervene. There also appears to be an issue over the amount the players think they are owed.
