Brazil's First Female President Dilma Rousseff Impeached As VP Takes Over.

The Senate on Wednesday impeached Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s first female president, and removed her from office for the rest of her term, the capstone of a power struggle that has consumed the nation for months and toppled one of the hemisphere’s most powerful political parties.

The Senate voted 61 to 20 to convict Ms. Rousseff on charges of manipulating the federal budget in an effort to conceal the nation’s mounting economic problems.

But the final removal of Ms. Rousseff, who was suspended in May to face trial, was much more than a judgment of guilt on any charge. It was a verdict on her leadership and the slipping fortunes of Latin America’s largest country.

There'll Be Tragedy If Zakzaky Dies In DSS Custody -Shi'ites Warns

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), otherwise known as Shi’ites, on Wednesday warned that there will be monumental tragedy if its leader, Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky, who has since December 2015 been in detention dies in government custody.

The movement in a statement signed by its Spokesman, Ibrahim Musa in Kaduna Wednesday also dismissed two lawyers, Sadau Garba and Bello Ibrahim allegedly standing for Zakzaky before Department of State Services (DSS) as impostors.

According to the statement, “We demand that our Leader and the wife must be released unconditionally without delay.
“It will be a tragedy of monumental proportions should our leader go blind in detention or suffer further physical disability due to him being denied access to adequate medical attention,” the movement said without giving details.

“We understand those that sanctioned his detention and those detaining him want to humiliate him and make sure that he goes completely blind before he is eventually released thereby rendering him powerless the moment he is released from unconstitutional and illegal detention.

“The health of our leader and the wife continues to deteriorate on a daily basis and those holding him in custody are playing politics with his detention and that of his wife.

“We urge the Nigerian people and the international community to intervene in this crude violation of the fundamental rights of our leader,” the IMN said.

Wenger A Fool At 50, And A Big Specialist In Failure

Forget the drama for a moment, forget the utterly beautiful chaos of this game. The salient point is that already, after just one game, Arsenal are behind. They are behind Manchester City and behind Manchester United, too. By 10pm tomorrow, they may be behind Chelsea, as well. As such, it is the same as it ever was for Arsene Wenger and his team. Three times out of the last four Premier League seasons, Arsenal have begun their programme with defeat here. Already, they are in the slipstream of their rivals. This defeat was different in its make-up. A crazy, helter skelter kind of game, it was utterly beguiling.

Sunday Sun gathered that one of the wives is already late, while the surviving one who blew the whistle about three weeks ago over the secret marriage is said to be nursing a child for the embattled priest.

According to the doctrine of the Catholic Church, only unmarried men are ordained into the priesthood as they are obligated to swear to an oath of celibacy and observe perfect and perpetual service for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. This, it is believed, would enable the priests to easily remain close to Christ with an undivided heart, and dedicate themselves more freely to the service of God and the congregation.
