The 12-year-old son of Britain's most wanted female terrorist is believed to have been killed alongside his mother in a US drone strike. Jigawa Destroys 475 Bottles Of Assorted Beer

The Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State has destroyed 475 bottles and Jerry-cans of assorted beer in the area.

Alhaji Magaji Muhammad, the Information Officer in charge of the council, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in Dutse on Thursday.

Muhammad said that the items were those confiscated from different vendors operating in the area by Hisbah guards.

Hisbah, a Sharia law enforcement agency in Jigawa, has prohibited the consumption of beer in all parts of the state.

The Monkeypox epidemic has spread to Akwa Ibom State.  The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Charles Udoh, said one case of the disease,  which was first detected in Bayelsa state, has been confirmed. He added that two other suspected cases are under investigation.

Price Of Rice To Fall To N6000 SOON

Rice farmers, millers and processors on Wednesday announced that the price of a 50kg bag of rice will fall to as low as N6,000 in the next few months.

According to them, the current market price of rice, which is about N15,000 per 50kg bag, will drop to between N6,000 and N7,000 in a couple of months, going by the bumper wet season harvest by rice farmers.

Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting between rice farmers/processors and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, at the ministry’s headquarters, in Abuja, the National President, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Aminu Goronyo, told journalists that operators had resolved to currently reduce price of rice to N13,000 per 50kg, but stressed that the price would further drop to N6,000 in a few months.

Yvonne Jegede Denies Miscarriage News

Yvonne Jegede Fawole is furious. The actress is furious because certain media houses had reported she just lost her baby-- she had a miscarriage. But Jegede says it's not true and went to IG to debunk the news. She wrote;

"If you want any information about me, my phone number isn't that difficult to get.. It will be appreciated if you referred to it as rumors and not claiming you called any bloody "Sources close to nobody". Miscarriage means the death of a child and should not be joked with. You don't have to wish me bad because you are looking for news. Miscarriage is not what you joke about. I reject miscarriage (It will never happen to me, because I am God's own)."

Monkeypox Outbreak Hits Bayelsa, Doctor, 10 Others Quarantined

                  Hu                                               Fear has gripped the residents of Bayelsa State as a deadly viral epidemic known as “monkeypox” has broken out in the state.

According to the World Health Organisation, monkeypox is a rare disease that occurs primarily in remote parts of Central and West Africa, near tropical rainforests.

“The monkeypox virus can cause a fatal illness in humans and, although it is similar to human smallpox which has been eradicated, it is much milder,” WHO says.

It was authoritatively learnt that a medical doctor and 10 persons who came down with the monkeypox had been quarantined in an isolation centre at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri, in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.
